Park City Summer Events: Market and Music Festival
Two events anchor a Park City summer: the free Park Silly Sunday Market on lower Main Street in Old Town, and the Deer Valley Music Festival, presented by the Utah Symphony at the Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater. The market fills Sunday daytimes from summer into September, and the festival fills evenings from mid-July through mid-August. We have written this guide to help you choose between them, or pair them, and to plan the practical details well before you arrive.
What each event is
The Park Silly Sunday Market is a free street market held on lower Main Street in Old Town Park City. It is a daytime, outdoors, wander-as-you-like kind of event. The Deer Valley Music Festival is a ticketed concert season, presented by the Utah Symphony (Utah Symphony | Utah Opera), with its summer home at the Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater at Deer Valley. One belongs to the morning and afternoon, the other to the evening, which is why many of our guests plan both into the same week.
Silly Sunday Market on Main Street
The market sets up on lower Main Street in Old Town on Sundays, and recent seasons ran from about 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., rain or shine. Admission is free, so you can drop in for an hour or stay through the afternoon. The market does not run every Sunday. Recent seasons had roughly 11 market Sundays, with gaps in July and August, so check the schedule at parksillysundaymarket.com before you set your travel dates. The 2026 season was the 19th, a good sign of how firmly it belongs to the town's summer.
Deer Valley Music Festival at Snow Park
The Utah Symphony brings its summer season to the Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater at Deer Valley, with the festival running from mid-July through mid-August. The 2026 season was its 22nd. Programs mix symphonic evenings with guest headliners, so the calendar offers more than one kind of night out. The amphitheater also hosts the separate Deer Valley Concert Series, produced with The State Room Presents, which brings pop and rock to the same stage. Deer Valley also hosts live music on the Silver Lake lawn early in the summer concert season. Tickets for the festival are available through deervalleymusicfestival.org.
Planning your day and evening
Park City sits at roughly 7,000 feet, so summer days are warm and dry and evenings cool off quickly. Bring layers to any evening concert, even after a sunny afternoon. Afternoon thunderstorms are possible in July and August, so a light rain jacket earns its place in your bag. Plan your transport and parking ahead of time for both events, because we do not assume any of our properties is within walking distance of the market or the amphitheater. Book concert tickets early through the organizers, since we do not sell event tickets ourselves.
Choosing where to stay
If the market and Old Town dining are your priority, a base near Main Street suits you, and Lift Lodge is our home near Main Street. If the amphitheater and the quiet of the mountain matter more, our Deer Valley rentals, including Snow Park, Deer Valley (PGE-2413), Black Bear Lodge, and Ridgepoint, put you on the Deer Valley side of town. Mountain Village rounds out the choices for guests who want a different setting. Check each property page for location details and plan how you will get to each event. Our concierge team at concierge@kbmresorts.com can help with ideas for your stay.
Please confirm current-year dates, lineup, and ticket details directly with the organizers, Park Silly Sunday Market and the Deer Valley Music Festival, before you finalize your travel plans.
