Pets and Service Animals at KBM Vacation Rentals

KBM does not allow pets at any of its vacation rentals in Hawaii or Park City, and that includes dogs. Legitimate service animals are the exception and are always welcome. If you travel with one, tell us when you book so we can note it on your reservation.

Our pet policy at a glance

Every KBM property, from the Hawaiian Islands to Park City, is pet-free. That includes dogs of every size and breed, so there is no size or breed policy to review and no pet fee to budget for. The policy keeps each home consistent for the guests who arrive after you, including those with allergies. Knowing this before you book lets you plan your trip with confidence.

Service animals are always welcome

Legitimate service animals under the ADA are welcome at every KBM property. We do not turn them away, and we do not ask for verification. Please tell us at the time of booking so we can note the service animal on your reservation. That one step lets our local team prepare for your arrival and keeps your check-in simple.

Emotional support animals

Under KBM policy, emotional support animals are treated as pets. They are not classified as service animals under the ADA, so they are not permitted at our properties. We would rather you know this before you book than at the door. If you have questions about how this applies to your situation, write to us at concierge@kbmresorts.com before you reserve.

Traveling to Hawaii with an animal

Hawaii maintains its own state animal quarantine and travel rules, and what applies depends on the specific animal. Because the details differ case by case, we do not list requirements here. Contact the Hawaii Department of Agriculture Animal Quarantine Branch directly for current guidance. Since KBM rentals do not accept pets, this applies mainly to guests who are bringing a legitimate service animal.

Planning your stay when a pet stays home

Arrange a boarder or sitter at home before you book, so the question is settled well before departure. With that handled, you can give the trip your full attention: the morning light over the water on a Hawaii stay, or a quiet evening by the fire in Park City. If you have questions at any point, contact KBM at booking or email concierge@kbmresorts.com. Our team will answer them before you arrive.

Animal travel rules for Hawaii can change, so confirm current requirements with the Hawaii Department of Agriculture Animal Quarantine Branch before you finalize your plans.
