This unit is stunning. The location within Honua Kai is perfect & we would absolutely rent it again! Thank you for a great stay!

Unit 203H was beatiful and had an excellent view from the balcony. It was so nice to open the patio fully to the outside when we hosted another family for dinner. Clean well appt. You will not be disappointed.

Nice luxury condominium, but the ice maker didn't work and there was no wine bottle opener provided. The complex was very nice.

Our suite was wonderful and had a great view. We enjoyed the whole family being able to be together. We played games at the large breakfast table, enjoyed quiet time on the patio. We had easy access to the pools and the beach. We really appreciated having beach chairs, sand toys and a large cooler provided. We would definitely stay again and recommend to our friends.

The unit was very well appointed and provided a great stay at a fabulous facility. The location was ideal. The KBM staff were always helpful and prompt to reply.

We were very pleased with the condo and upkeep of it. It was very clean. The surrounding grounds is just beautiful. Great service was provided by all of the hired staff. I really enjoyed my vacation here and would definitely come back. The grounds and swimming pool area was kept immaculate.

This is a fantastic condo and photos are exactly what you get (awesome !!) The view of the pool and ocean are great and the Duke's restaraunt and pool side service are just what you need. Suggest the omelett's for breakfast, very good! Guest services is very quick and the Valet parking crew are a great bunch of folks. Coffee at the store in the lobby area is very tasty and so are the treats. Pool towel service is nice and saves you from packing from your room. We will definately be back and Aloha from our gang.

KBM was professional and easy to book through. Very communicative and responsive while booking online. Our room was very clean well stocked with cooking and kitchen utensils. All appliances worked well. And we had enough stock of paper towels and toilet paper! KBM staff was very attentive and checked in on us through our stay. We had one issue during our stay (toilet backing up) and KBM was responsive in handling it. We were very pleased with how the handled it. We have stayed at Honua Kai many times but this is our first time booking through KBM. We will definitely be using KBM again!

Unit 203 had the best oceans views and was very nicely decorated. The kitchen was very well equipped with anything you may need to cook and serve a meal. The bedrooms are very spacious and the mattresses were very comfortable. The different pools and the closeness to the beach made our entire vacation even better and cant wait to book with KBM Resorts again. Thank you!

Spacious, well equipped, thoughtful extras (our best day there was with the provided boogie boards), balcony was amazing (we spent hours upon hours on the balcony), great pools, loved our stay. Wonderful property. Everything was as promised, easy, relaxing, no problems or concerns.

We absolutely loved our stay. It was a dream vacation in every way. We can’t wait to go back! We loved our room and it was a great location overlooking the pool and Dukes, we loved listening to the music each evening. Sunsets were beautiful. ;) We would definitely stay here again.

Your condo is absolutely lovely! The layout of the condo is perfect for our group of five family members. It was nice to have a private bathroom off two of the bedrooms and another restroom across the hall from the third bedroom. The view from the lanai was stunning. Not only did we get a view of the pool, but also a view of the ocean. The condo was very clean, the beds were comfortable along with the high end shampoo, cream rinse & body lotion that was in the bathrooms. The kitchen was well stocked for us to be able to cook in the condo along with going down by the pool to grill. It was nice having beach chairs & umbrella for us to use for our 4 minute walk to the beach. The grounds are nicely landscaped with several areas to get some walking in. There are four large gas grills available by the pool. Duke’s restaurant is next to the pool with a beautiful ocean view and delicious Hula Pie. There is a market on the main level that has everything from souvenirs, Starbucks, grab and go breakfast and lunch items along with grocery items for your stay. I definitely will return to Hawaii and stay in this condo!

Our family was impressed and delighted that the quality, location, and appearance of this unit exceeded our expectations -- one of the highlights of our vacation was seeing Maui at its most beautiful, both day and night, from our amazing lanai overlooking the ocean -- and our many wonderful meals enjoying sunsets and sunrises in this spacious outdoor setting you won't find in many condo properties at Kaanapali or elsewhere.

We absolutely loved our stay in your 2 bedroom villa. It was perfect for our family of 6, and had everything we needed to play at the beach or enjoy the pools. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer.

Overall the resort is beautiful and I would stay at the resort again.

The experience with KBM (through vrbo) was seamless and stress free. The few questions I had prior to our trip were answered quickly and thouroughly. Plus there was just great communication before and during. The property was what we expected from the description. I would use again.

We were hesitant in using any booking agency for our vacation.... mainly since we never used an agency before. KBM was fantastic!! Our booking was super smooth, added in a rental car, and they let us know that a couple of pools would be closed for maintenance. We couldn't of asked for a better experience. Thank you for making our first Maui trip so carefree. We hope to be back.

Wonderful vacation at this amazing condo. Chairs, boogie boards, umbrella and a cooler located in the unit is a plus. Enjoyed beautiful dinners on the lanai. Plenty of room for my family of six. Washer/dryer is a bonus. Management company was extremely helpful when we had an issue with the hot water. They fixed it on NY day. Great memories made at HK 229. We will be back.

The condo was spacious, clean, and very comfortable for our family. We'd definiteky stay there again!

The unit was wonderful! We loved that it was spacious yet cozy, and that it had TVs in all the rooms as well as movies, the wii and games, and puzzles. Kitchen had everything we needed plus so much more in terms of utensils and knives, cookware and dinnerware. Bathrooms were well appointed with the L'occitane products which we loved. The outdoor space was fantastic for having breakfast in mornings and also to wake up to a great view. The beds were very comfortable. And there is a fun notebook full of past guests experiences, must does, and recommendations which were fun to read!

Thank you KBM the property at 229 was perfect. The pictures shown were exactly how the condo appeared. It was perfect for our Family of 5 Vacation ( 2 teenagers and 9 year old). The condo is spacious and comfy. It was complete with beach chairs, cooler boogie boards sand toys everything we needed to explore the great beaches on Maui. The beach right outside the hotel has good snorkeling and we saw lots of fish and a pair of turtles. The location is conveniently located with a Duke's restaurant on site. We would love to come back! We had the absolute best time during our trip to Honua Kai! The condo was amazing - clean, spacious, well equipped with everything you need, beds were beyond comfy, and the walk-out lenai was so perfect with us and our young children! The resort itself has endless opportunities, you wouldn’t even have to leave the complex if you didn’t want to! The beaches and views are breathtaking. We LOVE the beach walk that connects to Honua Kai, we would grab a coffee from the Whalers general store right in the Konea building (the macadamia nut iced latte is incredible) and catch the sun rise everyday on a walk. KBM made everything super easy - they had quick and concise correspondence, they were incredibly accommodating to our needs, and just overall lovely to speak with! Everything about this condo, Honua Kai and KBM were perfect, we couldn’t recommend it more and we will definitely be back!

Beautiful location and awesome service

This location was great! The unit had everything we needed- great kitchen setup for cooking some of our own food. We used the 4 Tommy Bahama beach chairs and umbrella almost daily. We started each day with a walk to Black Rock. The beds were comfy. The car rental included was a nice bonus, so we used the cost of what it would be to justify splurging on this spacious resort/rental. We snorkeled daily (boss frogs nearby for rentals) and had GREAT snorkeling conditions. Turtles and a variety of fish right from the front of the resort. Our two teenagers had a great time. Would definitely book again!

Had a great time at Honua Kai HKH-229. Love the view and the beds were very comfortable. I love that you have the option of a king or two twin beds. Was also great having a washer and dryer in the unit. Would definitely stay again!

We stayed in unit 229 from Sept. 14-24 2025. We stayed in this unit May of 2019 and loved it. The staff was wonderful.

The whole experience was easy. All of the details were communicated up front and the staff was always available to respond and help.

This house worked great for our family stay. Seemed like almost every room was a master suite. The four grandkids enjoyed the bunkroom. HUGE kitchen.

Stayed 1 week with a 9 month old and 4 year old and the stay was so easy and relaxed. Pack n play, kids utensils, and highchair was included as well as laundry, and for a family traveling that was amazing extras. The view from the patio could not be better, we saw whales from our room every day! Easy access to the beach and airport was big advantages as well. Would definitely stay here again!

We have been coming to Honua Kai for more than 10 years, and it has been our favorite place on Maui. Great beach, large and well equipped rooms. This time we stayed in the south tower.

If your Australian looking for upmarket MAUI accommodation at a reduced price then read this review.. We live in Sydney Australia and had been looking around for reasonable accommodation for our family to stay in on our holiday to Maui. We were just about to book directly with the Honua Kai resort and a TripAdvisor search directed our attention to KBM Hawaii Luxury Real Estate and Vacation Rentals. We found information about a 2 bed self contained apartment ( we rented 242) ( they also have several apartments on their books 1, 2 & 3 bedroom ). My husband was very concerned about us paying thousands $$ for accommodation to an overseas real estate company we don't know. I did quite a lot of research and checked a number of reviews on line left by other people and decided to take a chance and pay the $2900 US for 7 nights accommodation on line via KBM website. Booking directly via the resort was going to cost approx $1000 US more for 7 nights so the savings made it quite attractive. KBM cost also includes a small hire car via enterprise car rentals. We paid an extra $27 per day and upgraded our hire car to a Mustang convertible. Because we live in Sydney Australia our car insurance doesn't extend to hire car overseas like it does for residents of the US so we took up The comprehensive waiver cover at an extra $29 per day when we picked up the car. This gave us peace of mind because if anything was to happen to the car there would be no XS and no money having to be paid out. We found it a little difficult to get information about this it's a kind of hire car insurance cover because it's not widely used because residents of the US and have it automatically covered under their car insurance policies on their car at home. But after emailing the owner of KBM and then enterprise car hire I was able to get a copy of the insurance and what it covers before we left Australia. Payment via credit card was very easy on KBM's website. Once you've paid KBM are very good at keeping you informed and send lots of emails with step-by-step information on where to go how to pick up the rental car, how to get to the apartment etc etc. I thought that was very well done. When we arrived we were very happy indeed. The cleaners were just finishing up (as we arrived early) so we when and had a coffee downstairs in the resort cafe and when we came back the cleaners had left the door open to the unit with the keys inside. Shortly after a member of staff from KBM arrive to ensure that we had got into the room okay and everything was fine . The apartment is spacious and new looking and it a lot nicer than a 5 star hotel room we stayed in at Waikiki. We saved quite a lot of money because we were able to go next door to the supermarket and cook our own meals in the apartment kitchen. The apartment has a good size kitchen with granite bench top. Full size four seater dining room table lounge suite to seat 5 with TVs / DVD and cable TV stations All bedrooms also have new Tv's and cable channels. It has a very spacious bathroom bigger than I've seen any apartment before with a separate bath and enclosed glass shower. There is a large Veranda that extends from the master bedroom all the way out to the lounge area and that also has a four seater full dining room table and there's two chairs with footstools. In the cupboard next to the front door they also provide two sun chairs that you can take out to the beach as well as a good size esky, snorkelling gear, beach umbrella, sunscreen, six large beach towels and fly repellent They even have sandcastle making equipment for the kids. The kitchen is fully equiped including a kettle, toaster, all the cutlery and all the pots and pans, salad bowls plastic, plates and cups etc you need as well as a stainless steel oven, electric cooktop, Rangehood under the large microwave and a dishwasher. The fridge also has filtered water and ice maker which is very handy. There's another cupboard in adjacent to the kitchen which has the washer and dryer front loader that you can use and they supply enough washing detergent to do five or six loads. There was plenty dishwasher tablets under the sink more than enough to run it a few times a day every day of your stay. Enters the groceries are pretty much have to bring everything from the supermarket yourself as they don't include much they did however leave a salt-and-pepper a container of spices and a small container of honey other than that there is no food or condiments provided. So you need to get cooking oil or cooking spray and your normal food supplies. It might be beneficial for the owners of the apartment to provide some condiments normally when I stay in this types of self contained accommodation in Australia the owners generally supply ketchup ( or as we call it in Australia tomatoe sauce ) cooking oil etc. There is free underground parking also accessible for the apartment. The resort itself has three swimming pools which are lovely and a waterslide for the children which my seven-year-old absolutely loved. When you first arrive you need to go down to the information service counter near the pool to get a wristband so that the resort staff are aware you are a guest. You will need to show them your room key / security pass and they scan it on the machine to check your a guest. This has to be done every day. I think it's to try to prevent outsiders using the resort facilities. There was washing up liquid left on the sink and some paper towels which was helpful for keeping the place clean. Make sure you bring your own international wall plugs and iPhone / iPad chargers with you as none of these are provided. Other than that it's pretty good value for money and I would highly recommend renting an apartment at the Honua Kai via KBM Hawaii Luxury Real Estate. Aloha :-)

Thank you for helping make our Maui vacation great! Our condo at Honua Kai was clean, roomy, well stocked with beach towels, snorkel gear, swim toys etc. Also, there were baby/toddler items for guest with little ones. Our condo was just as it looked on the website and the views were fantastic. KBM was very easy to work with, returning phone calls and emails quickly and were prompt to email contracts and reminders. Check in was super easy and quick. (Which we appreciated after a long day of travel.) We would definitely book through KBM again.

We had a wonderful time at Honua Kai. It is a very comfortable condo with a pleasant view. Pools were lovely. Car rental was through Enterprise and very easy. Location is on a beautiful and less populated section of the boardwalk and beach. We will return to HK on our next visit to Maui.

Upon arrival our room was available at check in, clean and stocked with all the basics needed for a great stay. We had absolutely no issue our entire stay. Our family of 5 slept comfortably and the kitchen had all of the basics needed for meals to be cooked in the room. The resort grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Wonderful unit. I stayed here with my two daughters and it was outstanding! Unit was very clean when we arrived and even had plenty of beach chairs and umbrella and wake boards. Keyless entry makes it simple and same with the towel locker process without having to deal with card /towel passes like some resorts have in place. The grounds are beautiful and all the guests and staff we met on property were super nice and welcoming. Dukes on property is a bonus. Great food and drinks. Snorkeling right on the beach was great we saw many turtles and fish. For sure we would rent this unit again with KBM. Super friendly staff and easy check in and out process.

My family had a wonderful time. Soon as we drove up, valet greeted us with a great Aloha personality. He got us going with parking and directions to our room. We had a great experience. KMB was very responsive whenever we needed anything. The condo itself was great - perfect for a family with two kids. We had a view of the ocean which was a nice bonus! The chairs, cooler, boogie boards and umbrella were very useful. We’d definitely use KMB again!

This is our second year vacationing at Honua Kai. A wonderful set up for families— our young kids love the pool and easy beach access (and feeding koi fish). Honua Kai has a lot of activity but is not overwhelming. This unit in particular had a nice layout that suited our family of 5 well.

We had a great time staying in Hokulani 242. KBM car was super easy and convenient. Welcome basket was a nice touch. Fully stocked kitchen made cooking a few meals easy. Closet was stocked with all the beach gear we needed. The resort is beautiful right on the beach with a nice restaurant. Great place to explore further points north like Dragons Teeth and Honolua Bay. Look forward to staying again.

Great time had by all! Close to everything. My only disappointment, was the maintenance never came to fix the dryer when requested twice.
