Everyone wants to have a good experience from start to finish on their vacation! We certainly did! The Reservation Manager, Maria was amazing. She was very client focused and answered all my questions in a timely manner. I received reminder emails over the next few months to remind us about our holiday and what to expect. It made me feel that we were going to be special guests of the condo complex! I received a telephone call when we arrived in Maui to let me know the check in time and who would be meeting us upon arrival. As we arrived, we were greeted by the Bell Boy who took our luggage up to the room with Kyle,the KBM representative who gave us a brief orientation of the condo. Everything was very easy for us. The condo itself was beautiful, clean and well appointed with high end appliances and furnishings. We had all the comforts of home. We had a two bedroom condo. The four of us had plenty of room and spent alot of time on the large balcony that could accommodate all of us with ease. The view from the four floor was beautiful! The pool, the gardens and the ocean were in our view everyday. The beach was beautiful and the pool area magical with waterfalls! The landscaping in the complex is amazing and the bushes and tress were blooming with red and yellow flowers. The staff working in the complex were very friendly and helpful. Maria was always there to answer any additional questions I had while we were there. Truly a great place to spend a vacation! Thank you. We will be recommending the Honua Kai Resort to our friends and it will be on our list of vacation resorts to come to.

Nice furniture, comfortable beds, plenty of storage for clothing, beautiful bathrooms, great deck with plenty of deck furniture. TV was adequate and there was good wifi. Nice underground parking. Wristband system for room entry, pool towel access. Our room had a rather small kitchen for a room that housed up to 8 people, including a lack of places to put your groceries and supplies. It has a sized fridge which was also too small for 8. Also it lacked some basic necessities, such as not enough glasses, spoons, towels and a few other items. Overall good experience as these small annoyances did not stop us from having a great time.

We had a party of 8 and we stayed at the Honua Kai Resort in the Konea Tower room 445. Our flight landed at 9:40 am and although our room was not ready for check in, the staff was very helpful in holding our luggage and getting the kiddos some towels for the pool to cool off and start our vacay while some of the adults walked across the street to the local grocery store to grab necessities. The hotel also held our groceries in containers and in the fridge/freezers as well while our room was getting ready. The have grills in the pool/hot tub area so you can get your steak on too. Once checked into our room, it was nice and clean and there were some beach chairs, an umbrella and a cooler for us to use at the beach. Our room was very close to the elevator and from there we had very quick and easy access to the main courtyard that lead to the pools, hot tubs and the beach! Be careful though there are some rocks/coral when you go into the water so be sure to wear your swim shoes! Off in the distance you can see whales splashing, my sister and her brother-in-law were swimming and were bumped into by a turtle and there are seals that will pop their heads up once in awhile. Although there are lights from the resort, when on the beach, the skies are so dark you can see the stars multiplying right before your eyes as the sun sets. I highly recommend this resort and would definitely come again.

This was our 3rd time in Kaanapali, but first time at this resort! The unit was spacious and perfect for a group of 7. The management team were super attentive and accommodating. We walked to Whaler's village and took the shuttle back, which dropped us off at Maui Villas, which is only a short walk back. The area is central to everything you could need. Make sure to check out Leilani's at the Beach, Plantation House Restaurant, Food trucks next door, and Baya Bowls!

This was our 3rd family visit to Hawaii, but our first to Maui. We were blown away by the initial arrival to the property at Honua Kai, and the beauty of the greenery and flowers on the property. We were met by a host of gentlemen to grab our luggage, as well as valet our vehicle if we so desired. However, there was designated parking in the parking garage for our particular unit, and only 20 steps to a nearby elevator to take us up to our floor. We entered the unit to find the cleanest, and most spectacular view to the courtyard, the amazing pools, and a majestic view of the Ocean. The lanai was huge, which had sliding doors that opened from both the living/dining area, as well as our master suite. There was plenty of seating on the lanai for all of us to enjoy. The unit had essentially, 2 master suites and bathrooms, as well as a large 3rd bedroom with its own large bathroom across the hall. The dining table was huge. The family room had a large couch and two comfortable chairs, for all to relax. The kitchen was large with a full fridge and freezer, 2 ovens, a microwave, as well as a large cooktop. The towel service for the beach and pools was awesome! You entered your room key code, grabbed however many towels you needed, and retuned them back to the machine before going back to your room, to prevent excessive sand in the condo. Since we were here in the middle of March, the whales put on a spectacular show daily from our property. This was clearly a 5 star resort and experience. The location was perfect. 5 minutes to amazing restaurants and shopping, in one direction and 5 minutes to Kapalua in the opposite direction. We will be back to Honua Kai, and always contact KBM for our next Hawaiian vacation. The property is everything that is described!! One on my best vacations to date!! From the bell hop to valet, the pools, hot tubs, Duke’s restaurant, and the beach!! It was amazingly beautiful, clean, friendly, and awesome for families or friends doing a group trip. Our condo had everything you would need!! It was clean and fully functional for 6 people without feeling over crowded!! The beach was literally in our backyard!! All your beach needs were supplied in the condo from coolers to chairs and umbrellas!! We will be back!!

We stayed here with 3 adults and 3 kids and had a wonderful stay. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the kitchen was easy to cook in, the views were spectacular, the pools were fun, and the beach was perfect. My favorite thing was the coral reef that runs the length of the beach. There were tons of fish and it was an easy swim for me and two kids ages 8 & 12. Not too much current or waves. Very clear water.

First time KBM renter, won't be our last

I've previously rented on Maui through VRBO and Maui Rentals, but this was my first experience with KBM—and it definitely won’t be my last. Their communication was excellent before, during, and after our stay. The unit was exactly as described and photographed, and everything went smoothly with KBM. I wouldn’t hesitate to rent directly through them again. As for unit HKK-449, it was fantastic. Recently updated, it's located near the front of the building on the 4th floor. While the view of the ocean is partially obstructed by palm trees near the pool, the unit itself is extremely spacious. The master bedroom and bathroom are almost excessively large, and the second bedroom also features an en suite bath. The third bedroom is paired with a massive detached bathroom. This unit is in the older of the two towers, which turned out to be a plus—it offers more space than the units in the newer tower we've stayed in before. Two important things to consider when booking a condo on Maui are proximity to the elevator and the trash chute. This unit is ideally located—not too far from the elevator for convenience, but far enough that you don’t hear foot traffic. It's also well away from the trash chute, which is critical. As of late July 2025, the unit came well stocked with beach gear: 6 chairs, 3 umbrellas, a cooler, 3 high-quality boogie boards, sand toys, an air mattress, and a pack and play. KBM also had a promotion that included a rental car for stays over six nights, and that process was completely hassle-free. All in all, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay in this unit again or to book with KBM for future trips. Highly recommended.

This spacious 3 bedroom, 3 bath was perfect for our family of 5. The 2 en-suite BR’s have independent temp control. Kitchen has all necessary pots.pans, etc. appliances are all nice, including DW and washer/dryer. The large balcony overlooks the quiet pool with a partial beach view. In January, the balcony gets full sun from 9am to 4 pm. The unit is located away from the trash chute and elevator so it’s very quiet. Communication with KBM was great throughout. The building has a small grocery in the lobby with all you might need. Larger grocery store is a 10 min walk. Overall, I would recommend this unit with no hesitation.

This was definitely a luxury stay. We have a family of 7 and we fit really comfortably. We also happened to be in Hawaii during major flooding and were unable to go anywhere much. We were so glad we were at a nice place so we could enjoy our time together without being too on top of each other. We used all the amenities from the gym to the pools and hot tubs over and over. Our family of 4 had a great time. The condo was spacious & clean and well furnished & stocked for the week, including 4 beach chairs & boogie boards which we used daily. The property is super family friendly as well as accessible for strollers & wheelchairs. There’s a boardwalk that conveniently connects this property to others along the beach allowing for long walks along the beach all the way to Whalers Village one direction and a local food truck park the other. Large grassy open areas on the property are used by kids soccer & kickball games. Poolside chairs get snatched up early, despite the property’s request for no reserving of chairs, and the parking garage is a bit confusing but otherwise no complaints!
