The Honua Kai resort is fabulous - beautiful grounds, great pools, and very easy access to a soft sand beach. Pool and beach rentals on property. There is a great food truck park with a great variety and grocery store within walking distance across the street. Dukes, the on-site beach front restaurant has good food- if you want to be sure to go in the evenings make a reservation before you arrive! Ka’anapali is a great little town with the resort close to Whalers Village shopping/restaurants. Our room view was spectacular! Fabulous view of the ocean beyond the pool with the Big Island in view. The sunsets are amazing! Although just like it of view of this unit, like a nightly ritual, resort patrons wander down to watch together with plenty of of places to watch unobstructed. The corner unit and wrap around lanai was a very nice feature to have to fit 5 adults comfortably. I would give this property a 4.5 stars out of five because, there were a few things we needed to communicate with the property management company on arrival, and so not 100% seamless, but all were minor details. The company was extremely responsive and did everything they could to make improvements quickly and professionally. We will be returning!

Maui vacation

Our vacation to Maui and Honua Kai was great. We booked through KBM and everything was super smooth. There was good communication after I booked with instructions on what I needed to do to get my rental car (which was included) and what to do at check in and how the check in process would work. KBM gave very clear instructions on where to go at the resort to check in. They called and let me know that our room was ready early so we could check in earlier than expected. That was really nice. When we did get to our room, the king bed in the second bedroom was not separated into two twins like I had requested, but when I called KBM to let them know, the lady that answered was very nice and said someone would be right there to fix that and they were! I would book through KBM again in a heartbeat. They also give returning customers a discount when they book again.

I’m beyond pleased with KBM resorts. Right from the beginning booking right to when we left for home. KBM was so helpful with my questions on booking & I greatly appreciated being able to call & talk to a polite, helpful, knowledgeable & trustworthy person on the other end for booking. I appreciate the option of not just having to book online. The included car rental was a huge benefit & much appreciated also with our KBM booking. Fantastic service all the way through. The phone calls, texts & emails with info required for check in & I will stress the phone calls as I am not an up to date techy person & much prefer to talk in person with someone & they are great at calling and checking in. When we opened the door to Honua Kai #513 we were absolutely blown away. The amazing views, the wraparound lanai, the luxurious furnishings and amenities make this a five star resort. We are 3 generations of women who love to do a girl's trip for our april birthdays. We've tried out all the fancy resorts in Hawaii and our former favorite was the Aulani but this has a better beach, better pools, much less crowds and has a much quieter more serene, more relaxing atmosphere. There is a great beach restaurant and bar. Complimentary beach and pool toys. We can't wait to come back.

My husband and I were travelling with our one year and felt that the resort, as well as accommodations, were well equipped for children of all ages. Our stay at the one bedroom condo in Maui through KBM was exceptional. The unit was beautifully maintained, spacious, and perfectly situated within the stunning Honua Kai Resort. With lush grounds, multiple pools, and direct access to one of Maui’s most beautiful beaches, the property offered the ideal balance of relaxation, convenience and luxury. KBM’s attention to detail elevated the entire experience. They anticipated everything a guest could need, from laundry detergent and toiletries to beach chairs and a cooler, making the condo feel instantly comfortable and worry-free. From start to finish Honua Kai didn’t disappoint. Our flight got in late and after a 40 minute drive from the airport and waiting for two hours for a rental car pulling up to the bell desk was by far a breath of fresh air. They handled the check in from the car and helped us on how to get to the parking garage and offered to help with the luggage. The most remarkable part is when I couldn’t get into the garage the same bell hop gentleman ran over to help me as it was pouring rain. I haven’t had an experience like I’ve had at Honua Kai anywhere else. I’m sold on coming here year after year. Truly the most amazing experience ever. They really displayed the island culture and spirit. The room was as well taken care of. Spotless and lots of amities which saved me money. They had beach chairs, umbrella and a cooler which was all well used. All the appliances and utensils were clear and looked new! Tons of towels and extra bedding which was a bonus. Honua Kai might be a little expensive but honestly you can’t beat it. Dukes restaurant is right at the door step with an easy reservation when coming off the beach. This gave enough time to shower and get ready for dinner. Saw tons of whales and turtles. Even save the rare monk seal sun bathing. Next year the whole family is coming and we are excited to share our experience with them and starting a tradition. Thank you again Honua Kai and the dream team. Mahalo

We have stayed at the Honua Kai 3 times. This is our first with KBM. By far, the best experience we have had. Customer service has been EXTREMELY responsive and requests were met right away. The unit was clean and had everything we needed for a fantastic stay. Living room was spacious and the units included beach chairs, cooler and boogie boards were a huge plus! The Lanai is spacious and the view of the island is great! Again, I cannot overstate how friendly and responsive KBM has been since booking and through the entire stay. Will look to use them for all of our Hawaiian vacations from now on!
