Our family was impressed and delighted that the quality, location, and appearance of this unit exceeded our expectations -- one of the highlights of our vacation was seeing Maui at its most beautiful, both day and night, from our amazing lanai overlooking the ocean -- and our many wonderful meals enjoying sunsets and sunrises in this spacious outdoor setting you won't find in many condo properties at Kaanapali or elsewhere.

We absolutely loved our stay in your 2 bedroom villa. It was perfect for our family of 6, and had everything we needed to play at the beach or enjoy the pools. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer.

Overall the resort is beautiful and I would stay at the resort again.

The experience with KBM (through vrbo) was seamless and stress free. The few questions I had prior to our trip were answered quickly and thouroughly. Plus there was just great communication before and during. The property was what we expected from the description. I would use again.

We were hesitant in using any booking agency for our vacation.... mainly since we never used an agency before. KBM was fantastic!! Our booking was super smooth, added in a rental car, and they let us know that a couple of pools would be closed for maintenance. We couldn't of asked for a better experience. Thank you for making our first Maui trip so carefree. We hope to be back.

Wonderful vacation at this amazing condo. Chairs, boogie boards, umbrella and a cooler located in the unit is a plus. Enjoyed beautiful dinners on the lanai. Plenty of room for my family of six. Washer/dryer is a bonus. Management company was extremely helpful when we had an issue with the hot water. They fixed it on NY day. Great memories made at HK 229. We will be back.

The condo was spacious, clean, and very comfortable for our family. We'd definiteky stay there again!

The unit was wonderful! We loved that it was spacious yet cozy, and that it had TVs in all the rooms as well as movies, the wii and games, and puzzles. Kitchen had everything we needed plus so much more in terms of utensils and knives, cookware and dinnerware. Bathrooms were well appointed with the L'occitane products which we loved. The outdoor space was fantastic for having breakfast in mornings and also to wake up to a great view. The beds were very comfortable. And there is a fun notebook full of past guests experiences, must does, and recommendations which were fun to read!

Thank you KBM the property at 229 was perfect. The pictures shown were exactly how the condo appeared. It was perfect for our Family of 5 Vacation ( 2 teenagers and 9 year old). The condo is spacious and comfy. It was complete with beach chairs, cooler boogie boards sand toys everything we needed to explore the great beaches on Maui. The beach right outside the hotel has good snorkeling and we saw lots of fish and a pair of turtles. The location is conveniently located with a Duke's restaurant on site. We would love to come back! We had the absolute best time during our trip to Honua Kai! The condo was amazing - clean, spacious, well equipped with everything you need, beds were beyond comfy, and the walk-out lenai was so perfect with us and our young children! The resort itself has endless opportunities, you wouldn’t even have to leave the complex if you didn’t want to! The beaches and views are breathtaking. We LOVE the beach walk that connects to Honua Kai, we would grab a coffee from the Whalers general store right in the Konea building (the macadamia nut iced latte is incredible) and catch the sun rise everyday on a walk. KBM made everything super easy - they had quick and concise correspondence, they were incredibly accommodating to our needs, and just overall lovely to speak with! Everything about this condo, Honua Kai and KBM were perfect, we couldn’t recommend it more and we will definitely be back!

Beautiful location and awesome service

This location was great! The unit had everything we needed- great kitchen setup for cooking some of our own food. We used the 4 Tommy Bahama beach chairs and umbrella almost daily. We started each day with a walk to Black Rock. The beds were comfy. The car rental included was a nice bonus, so we used the cost of what it would be to justify splurging on this spacious resort/rental. We snorkeled daily (boss frogs nearby for rentals) and had GREAT snorkeling conditions. Turtles and a variety of fish right from the front of the resort. Our two teenagers had a great time. Would definitely book again!

Had a great time at Honua Kai HKH-229. Love the view and the beds were very comfortable. I love that you have the option of a king or two twin beds. Was also great having a washer and dryer in the unit. Would definitely stay again!

We stayed in unit 229 from Sept. 14-24 2025. We stayed in this unit May of 2019 and loved it. The staff was wonderful.

The whole experience was easy. All of the details were communicated up front and the staff was always available to respond and help.

This is probably one of the best places we’ve stayed for n vacation.

Stayed 1 week with a 9 month old and 4 year old and the stay was so easy and relaxed. Pack n play, kids utensils, and highchair was included as well as laundry, and for a family traveling that was amazing extras. The view from the patio could not be better, we saw whales from our room every day! Easy access to the beach and airport was big advantages as well. Would definitely stay here again!

We have been coming to Honua Kai for more than 10 years, and it has been our favorite place on Maui. Great beach, large and well equipped rooms. This time we stayed in the south tower.

The room was perfect for our annual girls trip, very roomy for our group of 5 women and stocked with everything we needed to have a great time, the beach toys and cooler were nice to have as well. The listing pictures are true to what you arrive to and and the resort was perfect. Our group all agreed we would stay here again.

Our family loved staying at the Honua Kai Resort and Spa. The room was spacious and equipped with everything we needed for a week in paradise. The pools were great for the kids. The beach was fabulous. The sunsets were amazing! We upgraded our rental car to a jeep and took some fantastic adventures!!!

Incredible vacation experience Staff: Simply Amazing. From my first email to the last communication. Everyone was always helpful and friendly even though it was obvious how busy they were. Condo was large, beautiful and very clean. Stocked with everything we could ever need including wifi! The kid toys and puzzles were well used as was the huge patio. And at the the end of the trip, I appreciated just being able to just close the door and leave when it was time to go home. I would book through them again!

Honua Kai Resort itself is our favorite! So beautiful. All in all we of course had a wonderful vacation. How could you not in Maui.

The unit is great and very spacious Well furnished and well taken care of. The location is the best. You can see both the ocean and the mountains from the huge wrap around lanai. There is a large nano wall that opens out into a he lanai from the living room and the master bedroom.

Perfect vacation getaway, we will be back next year.

The property and unit were terrific! Nice space inside and large oversized deck allowed for spreading out. The pools and beach were perfect and the fitness room was well equipped. It was a perfect location, close to everything we needed, and it was ideal for our family vacation

Beautiful room and resort! Maui is an amazing place and the Honua Kai does everything to make the experience even better.

Honua Kai is an awesome place because it combines benefits of both condos and resorts. Only a 10 minute walk to the food truck park or the grocery store nearby. The unit itself was super nice and spacious. We loved being able to cook in the full kitchen and hang out in the living room. The bedrooms were comfortable and the bathrooms were huge. The AC was great too.

We really loved staying in this spacious two bedroom and two bath unit. The deck is huge, with a great view and plenty of space to seat 8 for dinner. We appreciated the access to netflix and beach umbrellas and chairs.

This was an incredible spot, and one we will definitely return to! The unit was equipped with everything and more. Our expectations were exceeded on every level!

We just finished 8 nights at Honua Kai. It was an amazing experience. The room was as pictured and a perfect place for my husband, myself and our 19 year old twins. The access to beach chairs, coolers and towels was perfect. We had several meals at Dukes which was great to have on site. KBM was also wonderful! We received texts and emails throughout our stay and all questions were promptly answered. I highly recommend KBM and the Honua Kai.

Great stay and very comfortable. The place had everything we needed for dining in the room or sitting at the beach. Wouldn’t change a thing about the property. Make sure to do your grocery shopping before heading to Honua Kai. So many options to research once you get off of the airport.

We stayed in unit HKH-236 at Honua Kai and had a great trip. The location is excellent, right on Kaanapali Beach for easy morning walks and sunsets, and it had Duke’s Restaurant with live music right on the property. The pools were nice, but chairs filled up fast unless you went early. The unit itself was perfect for our group of six. The secondary bedroom had a king bed that could be split into two twins and still fit a rollaway. Having parking options included in our stay was a big plus (garage, self-parking lot, and valet). We also used the north parking gate access, to easy get to the food truck lot and Honokowai Marketplace for snacks (shave ice and dole whip), a nail spa, and Times Supermarket, which is only a 10-minute walk by foot.

We really loved staying in this unit. Everything is updated in the unit. The refrigerator in it self is a newer model. Each room In our condo was up to date, clean and very comfortable.

Just wrapped up the best family vacation! The unit was very comfortable and homey. Such an easy walk to the pools and beach. Communication with KBM was smooth and reliable. We will absolutely be back!

Very clean, large, great communication from the team and enjoyed the provided sand toys, beach chairs and umbrellas. The kids loved the pools and everything was so convenient. Smoothies at the whalers cove on site were amazing and reasonably priced. Also convenient to have dukes on site- the hula pie is amazing! Will definitely be back. Thank you!!!

Our entire family was able to come to this beautiful place to vacation. It had all the accommodations you need, it is in a perfect location.

Beautiful rental and grounds! All workers on-site were extremely friendly and helpful. And they let us check-in early which was so helpful with little ones.

We had an amazing stay at KBM Resorts in the Hokulani Tower! Our 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom unit was incredibly clean, spacious, and very comfortable for our family. Everything was well-maintained and thoughtfully set up, making it feel like a true home away from home. The location is fantastic—there’s ample parking which made everything very convenient, and there are plenty of great shops nearby to explore. One of the highlights was having Duke’s Maui just across the way. Being able to walk over for great food and beautiful ocean views was such a treat. The pools were also wonderful—very clean and perfect for kids. Our family spent a lot of time there and the kids absolutely loved it. Another thing we really appreciated was the KBM customer service team. The agents were very responsive and proactive in checking in to make sure everything was going well during our stay. That level of care made the experience even better. Overall, it was a fantastic stay and we made such great family memories. We would absolutely come back and highly recommend KBM Resorts and the Hokulani Tower for families visiting Maui!

We had a great time at the resort and our room was perfect. It was well equipped with everything we needed for our 8 night stay. The location is convenient too. The elevator was just steps away which made it easy to come and go. We had a car but walked a lot more than expected because everything from food to shopping and beaches were close by. The staff were all very kind and cheerful. This was our second time staying here and we’ll be back again next year.

We stayed here for 3 nights in February 2025 and really enjoyed our stay. The unit is well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. We've stayed at Honua Kai several times and H240 is located where the sun never overpowers as you enjoy the lanai. You are right across from the stairway with quick access to pool area and lobby. Finally, we found the condo to be extremely quiet. Never slept better!

The grounds of the resort were breathtakingly beautiful and well kept. We loved swimming in the pools. It was wonderful to have the beach so close to us. We will 100% be back at some point. My family of 3 loved the room, great amenities with kitchen, bathroom and balcony. Tiny peekaboo of ocean too from one corner of the balcony in the armchair. Loved the building too, grounds with fishponds and lux resort feel. Towels were easy to get for pool, and enjoyed the lazy river and hot tubs.

The honua Kai resort is absolutely perfect! Great for families with little ones! Just make sure that the starter package provided will suit your needs before travel so you can better plan ahead before arriving on the island.

My experience with KBM was seamless from my initial request for booking to our departure...our condo was perfectly set up for Grandma, Grandpa, Mom, Dad and Baby. We will be back and highly recommend Honua Kai and KBM. Mahalo!

Our room and accommodations were excellent . The only negative being an older couple ,are the amount of families and young children . They take over the pool with there floaties and balls. They are constantly screening from 6 am to 10 pm. Luckily we like the beach. So because of that we probably would not return. This resort is for young families

Amazing accommodations and rental car. KBM was very responsive, prior to our trip there was an issue with the place we were scheduled to stay at and they put us in a better location at no additional cost. The car was great and everything was as expected. I will definitely be checking out KBM rentals in the future!

Honua Kai is a beautiful resort! You can't go wrong! We had 4 adults and 2 children in this 2 bedroom condo and that worked fairly well. I wouldn't recommend using the pullout as a bed as it was very uncomfortable. 2 big bathrooms and a long patio in this suite. Beach chairs, beach towels, sand toys, boogie boards all provided- which we appreciated!

This was our third stay at Honua Kai but our first stay with KBM in unit H247. We love the 2nd floor location because it's easy and fast to get in/out of. The Condo was very clean.The carpet is getting a bit worn, but still clean and more than acceptable. Love the fact that they could split the king bed in the 2nd bedroom so our kids could have their own beds. We did require new bedding during our stay and the staff brought us a new comforter amazingly fast. The rental car experience was also super easy and fast. I would definitely recommend KBM - simple booking experience & great service.

Honua Kai is a wonderful property for families, or folks just wanting to get away, but with all the amenities of home. KBM Hawaii made the booking, car reservation, check-in, and check-out processes seamless. Thank you for a perfect Maui vacation!

Everything went smooth.They acted prompt when we requested beach toys and other things to make our stay comfortable. The property was top notch and was maintained very well! We had a late night flight. So they accommodated our request for a late check out and that helped our little ones a lot! A wonderful experience overall.

This is our 4th trip to Maui. All of our trips we've stayed at Honua Kai. This is our second rental with KBM. The process of booking is super easy. Check in is also super easy. Having stayed here before, We liked picking up keys and heading to unit on our own. We didn't rent the car through KBM this year, but wish we had. Last trip we did and it was so easy - even easier than using my National status.

KBM have continually gone above and beyond for us. They so helpfully navigated us through the pandemic challenges in 2020 and helped us create a perfect return trip to Maui in 2022. KBM staff are professionals but more importantly they are quality people. KBM will be our first and only choice for Hawaiian vacations! #TeamMacDonald

This was a great vacation. The condo is decently stocked, although lacking in a few areas, which I suggested to the management company. Overall this resort is top notch, love having the resort feeling, but being in a condo with a kitchen and laundry. A couple things to note, the water heater is tiny so it really is good for one, maybe 2 quick showers, we took a lot of cold showers. The cooler, chairs, and frisbee were a great addition. The location is awesome. If you park below in the parking garage you basically go straight up the elevator to the room! Very easy to come and go. Dukes has decent food but is overpriced. The pools and hot tubs are awesome, crowded, but great. They are also open until 10 PM and really no employees are there bugging you about anything, but are very helpful if you need something. The beach was a little disappointing, you can kind of swim but there is a huge reef and big waves so not a very user friendly situation if you have kids. Overall our experience was awesome, and we will stay again. KMB was a great and handled all requests quickly and check in was easy! With a few small tweaks to the condo it could be perfect! This vacation was just my husband, myself, and my kids, but I would be comfortable with 2 couples, and 2 kids on the sofa bed if necessary.

The condo was extremely clean, amazing location along w/breathtaking ocean views from the lanai. Well equipped kitchen to allow you to grill out by the pool or dine in. Beach umbrella, chairs, cooler & boogie board are available to enjoy a beach day. Have stayed in this unit before & will continue to stay in the future:) Highly recommend:)

We recently booked a family vacation with KBM Resorts in Maui, and we were thoroughly impressed from start to finish! Once inside, we were blown away by the condo—beautiful, spacious, and equipped with everything a family could possibly need. From the fully stocked kitchen to the comfortable living spaces, it truly felt like a "home away from home." While the resort’s pools could be a bit larger, it didn’t take away from our overall experience. The serene atmosphere and perfect location more than made up for it. Whether we were lounging at the beach, exploring the island, or simply enjoying the condo, we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. We highly recommend KBM Resorts for anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable vacation in Maui. We’ll definitely be back!

Wonderful unit and patio overlooking the lawn and pool with sunset views - we loved staying here! It was clean and comfortable- I’m so glad we booked through KBM as we appreciated all the perks - especially the coffee and beach chairs and umbrella and ice chest - we snorkeled with turtles and tropical fish right off the beach. It’s so nice to have the kitchen and washer/dryer - The pools onsite were great and Duke’s restaurant right there was so fun! Don’t hesitate to stay here - you’ll love it.

We are repeat customers of KBM’s and generally stay at Honua Kai. KBM is consistent, professional and very prompt with their communication. Their prices are fair and properties they represent are very well appointed. We won’t hesitate to book through them again!

This is the second time we have stayed in this resort and we will probably stay again in the future. The condos are spacious enough for our family movie nights and game nights, plus the balcony is our favorite spot to hang out and enjoy the views. We can eat out or eat in with the convenience of the well stocked kitchen. Most importantly it doesn’t feel outdated, dirty or musty. Everything was updated and new in our condo. There are trash chutes on every floor but they were often full during busy season so finding a trash can could have been better but we figured it out. The location is perfect with beach access, Dukes located right on the property, Whalers village 5 min away and Safeway 9 minutes away. The pools are nice, especially for kids, but do need a little attention soon as the tiles start to fall. The beach walks at sunrise and sunset made it just the vacation we were looking for. Thanks for a great Maui getaway.
