From start to finish this was a great experience. Working with KBM Hawaii was hassle-free, the Mahana at Kaanapali (we had a two bedroom corner suite #611) was fantastic; literally 50 feet from the ocean - each day we looked down on sea turtles in the water out front. The property is conveniently located to Lahaina about 15 minutes south and some of the best beaches on the island 10-20 minutes north.

The unit is beautiful, the palms swaying outside the windows with the backdrop of the pacific is a priceless view. Kitchen was very well stocked, good appliances too. Was impressed and I'm picky :-) was clean! Loved the shower and the extra Pantene shampoo and conditioner was a plus. Loved how bright the unit is, tvs were great at night, great that it has smart tvs for Netflix etc. welcome chocolates were a nice touch. The snorkel gear was very good. Cooler was fabulous to have to spend day at beach not having to come back for lunch. We would definitely stay again! We highly recommend this unit and KBM is a good rental company to go through.

We stayed for the last week in May, and while the weather was a little tempermental (more windy and storm clouds than we have had before), being able to sit on the balcony and watch the sunsets and clouds in the distance was incredible! The unit had everything we needed, and was clean and in great condition. Loved the location for walking to Dukes and along the beach access walk. We would stay here again!

We stayed in Mahana 611 for eleven nights in late March thru early April. We shared the condo with our friends of forty years. It worked out perfectly!! The condo was clean, well stocked, comfortable and had a heavenly view. We spent many mornings and evenings sitting on the lanai watching whales(of which we saw many), beautiful sunsets and ocean waves. The condo is in a great location, close to everything you might want to do. We loved every minute of our stay and would love to come again!!

Our stay at mahana condo was amazing. We really enjoyed the hottub, the unit itself was very clean and stocked with anything you could need. The beach is coral with just enough sand to walk down but a short 5 mins walk and you're at a dimmable location. Watch whales and turtles while eating dinner on the kauai so amazing.

Mahana 611 was an excellent condo. Updated nicely and the beds were very comfortable! The condo itself was clean and large enough for our party of 6. The sofa sleeper was even very comfortable. Bathrooms and showers were nice. The patio was very large and a great gathering spot for morning coffee and evening cocktails. Pool and hot tub were also excellent. Location is nice you can walk down the beach to the backside of Black Rock. Great beach along the way for morning walks. The beach outside Mahana is not swimmable (very Rocky) but there is a nice beach area. If you walk south just a little ways the beach is swimmable but we tend to go to different beaches each day so this was not a problem for us at all. Whalers Village is close and Lahaina town are both a short drive. Coffee shop and small grocery store a short walk as well as the food truck court which in my opinion had some of the best values for meals. Large portions and excellent food! We had a wonderful stay at Mahana!

This place far exceeded our expectations. The location is ideal for family beach access without a hoard of tourists. Room to spread out and enjoy. The staff is friendly, welcoming, helpful, etc, etc.. The morning groundskeeper is about the best part of the stay. His laugh is contagious in the morning. The grocery, rental and dining shops on site make it very convenient so you don't always have to drive to find food. Highly recommend this property.

Fabulous Stay in Mahana 611 - December 2024

We first visited the Mahana over 24 years ago and it had been 15 years since we had been back to Maui and we chose the Mahana once again after considering other properties, such as those up in Napili. We also used KBM for the first time and did not know what to expect as in the past we have always booked through VRBO or Aston direct. The experience was great and all questions were promptly answered and the included car rental is legitimate. We were weary of the included rental and had a backup booked with Costco just in case. In relation to the condo itself it is exactly as described and shown in the pictures, is clean, and the views from the lanai cannot be beat as all units are oceanfront. We saw a family of turtles directly below on a daily basis, as well as whales, dolphins, and a monk seal was sunning herself on our last day. The bonus is that there is a little wagon that you can load up with the umbrella, chairs, boogie boards, and anything else you would like to take down to the beach. A tip is to go out through the gate from the Mahana parking lot to the beach parking lot and walk down the boardwalk to where you want to setup for the day along airport beach. It is also about a 2.5 mile walk down to Black Rock and you can easily walk to a grocery store, ABC, and multiple restaurants and shops. The only issue that we had is that I am highly sensitive to smells and the sheets and towels are all washed in detergent that made me incredibly sick as it is perfumey and strong. So, keep this in mind if you get headaches, allergies, etc. from smells. I wish that all of the hospitality industry would use unscented products as in the past. I travel with a backup set of sheets just in case; however, the smell had permeated the mattress and pillows, so it was a rough 10 days for me, even with the fresh air outside coming into the unit as it was difficult for me to breath. Thankfully, I made use of the Mahana pool towels as a layer to sleep on and for the shower and the beach to prevent a rash as they were unscented. This also prevented us from using the in unit washer and dryer given the detergents that had been used in it.

This condo has a fabulous view and a large double lanai (not common at The Mahana), so you can eat or lounge outside and watch whales and sunsets. Large sliders in family room and main bedroom let you listen to waves down below and enjoy the breezes flowing through. Condo is spacious and well-equipped (kitchen, washer/dryer, closet space in both bedrooms, beach chairs/towels). KBM is easy to deal with and incredibly responsive.

Everything was great! The condo was clean, everything worked as it should, and the extra room was terrific for our family. The double lanai was the best for watching whales and turtles, the sunset every night, and eating meals outside. The only "downside" (if you could even call it that) was not being able to figure out how to watch Netflix or other streaming services. And that was by no means a problem--just made us find something else to do together in the evenings. Love, love, love having a washer/dryer in the unit. CRAFT ICE from the freezer was the best! KBM was helpful during the reservation process and answered all my questions promptly. Would stay here again with KBM in a heartbeat!

Loved our stay at the Mahana resort & condo 611. The facility was spotless from top to bottom. The pool, the pool deck, the pool chairs etc were all spotless. Also we used the grills next to the pool & all three grills were spotless. The building is in a great location with easy access to the grocery store across the street & the path southwards along the beach. The path goes by Dukes & the Castaway Grill & other places for dining out options. The physical setting for Mahana is also beautiful, not only on the beach side but on the inland side. We would gladly stay at Mahana again & we all miss being there. Can't wait to go back!

Amazing vacation and I'm super impressed with the experience with KBM Resorts. From the rental car that was included, to the ease of checking in, everything was perfect. After our first night, my husband and I really wanted a few more pillows and I left a message with KBM but since this isn't a hotel, I really didn't expect this request to be fulfilled. But within a few hours, more pillows arrived. We stayed at Mahana 1211 and loved this unit. Breathtaking ocean views, nice furnishings, very well stocked and extremely clean! The location is perfect with the grocery store across the street and restaurants everywhere! The pool is smaller but we don't mind that. It's relatively quiet and that's what we prefer. Overall, this has been a top notch vacation and everything exceeded my expectations! Thank you KBM Hawaii! I will return and plan to rent from you again!

Great experience using KBM. We had an amazing 2 bedroom condo at Aston Mahana on the top floor. The views were incredible and the condo was stunning. Took advantage of their free car rental program but upgraded to a jeep. We had superior accommodations for substantially less money than the neighboring resorts. Highly recommend.

Thank you for arranging our stay at this beautiful property. This 12th Floor Penthouse End Unit was as lovely as you described it, with sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean and the islands of Lanai and Molokai; and "Thank You" for your welcoming gift of Chandon Champagne. We enjoyed it on New Years Eve after an order of "Hula Pie " from Duke's Beach House Restaurant. Your Cleaners had the unit looking good for us for an early 3 PM check in. Your property is well stocked this unit with nice cookware, kitchen utensils, glasses and dishes, as well as large beach towels and beach umbrellas. and even a boogie board. We enjoyed our stay. We did not hear any construction noise. I saw a workman one day and told him "I want you to know I haven't heard ANY noise from from your work." He laughed. I initially thought the guest bathroom had no hot water in the sink or shower, but I discovered that you have to leave the water on for two to five minutes before it gets hot. I especially appreciated your checking to make sure I had the correct unit code for the front door. I found you available to talk to anytime, even though it was during the Christmas/New York Holidays. Thank you for being there for us. We took very good care of the unit and left it in very good condition with dishes done, kitchen clean, garbage gone, towels in the shower, and sheets on the beds. We also left good food for the less advantaged. We like your program. Someone will get a nearly full Quart of New England Maple Syrup, bread, eggs, English Muffins, OJ, Guava Nectar, Dasani Water, Danish Creamery Butter, Imported Reggiano Parmagiana, and Mascapone, Whole Wheat Organic Spaghetti, nearly full pound of Organic Spaghetti, 1,/2 bottle Classico Italian Cheese Pasta Sauce etc. Happy New Year to you ! We look forward to your taking care of our next visit to Maui.

Stunning Views from both bedrooms and most of the condo, We saw many whales, a couple seals, and a few sea turtles from the balcony. Well worth the cost for the view alone. Great beach access. Gorgeous and very well-kept pool and spa. Easy access to local grocery stores and restaurants. KBM is so easy to work with, Mahana staff are great and so helpful! We hope to be back soon!

We stayed 8 nights in Mahana 1211. Our unit was just as in photos, the balcony and the view were amazing! We watched sea turtles from the balcony all week and even caught a swimming mink seal! , The welcome chocolates on the table were a nice touch too. KBM team checked in on us via email during our stay, and quickly brought us more laundry detergent when we ran out (thank you!). Overall had a great stay!

This is a beautiful two-bedroom condo on the top floor with amazing views of the ocean and a double lanai. The decor is updated and pleasing. Furniture is super comfortable, and family room has slider to lanai so floor to ceiling view of the ocean. The lanai has a high-top table and chairs so you can eat out there and enjoy watching whales, boats, surfers, sea turtles, dolphins, and—of course—sunsets from a birds’ eye view. There are several comfy lounge chairs as well. Kitchen is really well-provisioned with everything you need for cooking. Both bedrooms have nice bathrooms and comfortable beds. The main bedroom has a slider to the lanai so you can leave it open and fall asleep to the sound of waves. Condo included beach chairs/towels, beach umbrella and cooler, and some beach toys for kids. KBM is GREAT to deal with—so responsive. I love the Mahana—low-key vibe with just the right amenities (pool, hot tub, lawn with chairs overlooking beach, beach and beach path access, shuffleboard, tennis/pickleball courts, easy parking. Grocery is close (3 minute drive). No restaurant/store on site, but you can walk to many nearby. Concierge for booking activities in lobby. Really comfortable quiet beautiful place to stay.

The staff works so hard and it shows! The property is meticulously maintained; it’s beautiful. They actually clean the gas barbecues every single day! I had a concern with bugs and KBM responded within minutes!! They thoroughly investigated, brought in a professional pest company, changed out ALL linens and were exceedingly professional, even when zero bugs were found. I was very impressed with their speedy response and their professionalism. We will definitely use KBM for future stays.

Amazing Penthouse Unit and KBM Staff!

To celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary, we came BACK to stay at The Mahana, and it was everything we remembered. This time we stayed on the top floor in a corner penthouse unit MA1211, and it was amazing. The unit is very well kept, plenty of amenities for your oceanside experience, and everyone at the resort was extremely nice and accommodating. After finding the unit on VRBO, I noticed that it was managed by KBM Resorts. From booking and throughout our stay (which included a Tsunami scare) the entire staff was top notch! They helped with all of my special requests and communicated effectively via Text and Email for all portions of the trip. I can't single out one agent because they were all so friendly and helpful. I will definitely use them the next time we come to Hawaii or one of the other cities where they have accommodations. Thanks! John

We normally stay at the Bay Villa’s with KBM, but this time from a recommendation from a friend we stayed at the Mahana. At first, we were a little skeptical about a high-rise, but as the days went on, we enjoyed it more and more. The building is relatively quiet. It is not overly fancy, but it has virtually everything that you need hot tub, pool barbecue towels. The views from the ocean front are fantastic. The unit is well a portion and has everything you really need. We recommend the Mahana very much.

This condo is a penthouse looking out over the ocean and right on the beach. Coastal decor and comfortable furniture. You can fall asleep listening to the waves, watch whales and turtles from your lanai as good as any boat trip. You have a great view of rainbows on Molokai and sunsets over the water. Well-stocked kitchen with everything you need to cook or grill. Mahana is a quiet place with pool, hot tub, grills, shuffle board and easy parking. There’s a grassy lawn overlooking the beach (you need to walk a little further down for bigger beach access with sandy bottom) with chairs galore. You are right next door to Duke’s restaurant and the Beach Path that goes all the way to Whaler’s Village. KBM is a great company to deal with—easy access to help for any issue and people to call (not bots) with questions about reservations. They maintain their places well and always ask for feedback. Super responsive.

But when things go awry - like getting stuck in the monsoon that just hit Maui - they rise above and beyond.
