My family and I stayed at Honua Kai Resort in Maui for one week, and I can confidently say it was absolute perfection from start to finish. Every detail of our stay was thoughtful, luxurious, and relaxing—we truly didn’t want to leave. The pools were stunning, beautifully maintained, and offered a perfect blend of fun and tranquility for both kids and adults. Whether we wanted to float lazily or splash around, there was a spot for everyone. The room was spacious, spotless, and felt more like a high-end home than a hotel suite. We had a full kitchen, in-unit laundry, and plenty of space to unwind after our daily adventures. The amenities were top-notch—everything from beach gear rentals to the gourmet grocery store right downstairs made our stay incredibly convenient. The attention to detail at Honua Kai is what truly sets it apart. Everything felt so well thought-out, from the quality linens to the immaculate grounds. We loved the location—perfectly situated on Kaanapali Beach, with easy access to snorkeling, paddleboarding, and long sunset walks. And the views? Absolutely breathtaking. Waking up to the ocean every morning felt like a dream. Honua Kai offered all the comforts of home with the luxury of a world-class resort. There is honestly nothing we would have changed. Just wanted to say that from the booking process through checkout we had the most amazing customer service! The room was clean and comfortable and really made my family and I feel at home. We had an issue with the washer not draining but we called customer service and they had maintenance fix it promptly! We had some questions about checking out and John from the Oahu location helped us out and was incredibly kind. We recommend this resort and room HKK-220 to everyone that would like to stay in a comfortable clean room/resort. We will be back in less than a year if we can. Thank you KBM!!!

This was our first time in Maui. This was a na amazing family friendly place to stay. There were activities for kids, teens and adults. This place was well maintained through out our stay from landscaping to pool maintenance. This was also convenient in location as we can walk to a supermarket, breakfast spots and dinner at the food trucks. My kids loved going in the hot tub at night after a full day of pool or beach. There was a day where tents were set up to promote little boutiques and shops great for souvenirs. We had a great time and can’t wait to come again.

Our booking was super smooth, added in a rental car, and they let us know that a couple of pools would be closed for maintenance. We couldn't of asked for a better experience. Kitchen had everything we needed plus so much more in terms of utensils and knives, cookware and dinnerware. Bathrooms were well appointed with the L'occitane products which we loved. The outdoor space was fantastic for having breakfast in mornings and also to wake up to a great view. The beds were very comfortable. And there is a fun notebook full of past guests experiences, must does, and recommendations which were fun to read!

Thank you KBM the property at 229 was perfect. The pictures shown were exactly how the condo appeared. It was perfect for our Family of 5 Vacation ( 2 teenagers and 9 year old). The condo is spacious and comfy. It was complete with beach chairs, cooler boogie boards sand toys everything we needed to explore the great beaches on Maui. The beach right outside the hotel has good snorkeling and we saw lots of fish and a pair of turtles. The location is conveniently located with a Duke's restaurant on site. We would love to come back! We had the absolute best time during our trip to Honua Kai! The condo was amazing - clean, spacious, well equipped with everything you need, beds were beyond comfy, and the walk-out lenai was so perfect with us and our young children! The resort itself has endless opportunities, you wouldn’t even have to leave the complex if you didn’t want to! The beaches and views are breathtaking. We LOVE the beach walk that connects to Honua Kai, we would grab a coffee from the Whalers general store right in the Konea building (the macadamia nut iced latte is incredible) and catch the sun rise everyday on a walk. KBM made everything super easy - they had quick and concise correspondence, they were incredibly accommodating to our needs, and just overall lovely to speak with! Everything about this condo, Honua Kai and KBM were perfect, we couldn’t recommend it more and we will definitely be back!

This location was great! The unit had everything we needed- great kitchen setup for cooking some of our own food. We used the 4 Tommy Bahama beach chairs and umbrella almost daily. We started each day with a walk to Black Rock. The beds were comfy. The car rental included was a nice bonus, so we used the cost of what it would be to justify splurging on this spacious resort/rental. We snorkeled daily (boss frogs nearby for rentals) and had GREAT snorkeling conditions. Turtles and a variety of fish right from the front of the resort. Our two teenagers had a great time. Would definitely book again!

Amazing stay

Stayed 1 week with a 9 month old and 4 year old and the stay was so easy and relaxed. Pack n play, kids utensils, and highchair was included as well as laundry, and for a family traveling that was amazing extras. The view from the patio could not be better, we saw whales from our room every day! Easy access to the beach and airport was big advantages as well. Would definitely stay here again!

Our unit was in the back with a huge patio for the kids to play on and overlooked landscaping and the public park but could still see a peak of the sunset. We never heard any neighbors. The unit was well furnished. Toys for the kids of all ages was wonderful to have available.

This was my first time in Maui and my first time staying in a condo versus a hotel so I was a little nervous. We stayed a week and absolutely loved it! We were able to check in early and the room was spacious and gorgeous. Th full kitchen had everything we could possibly need and we enjoyed eating breakfast on the huge lanai every morning. My family had such a great experience we look forward to boookimg this unit again.

KBM Resorts gave us amazing service

KBM gave us amazing service from the initial booking email to the final day. They handled our car rental, offered us an extra something of our choice to offset the closing of two of the pools on the property which they had no control over. We had a leaky sink on day 1 which was fixed immediately and there was a power outage on the island which they kept us apprised of as it went on. I highly recommend using them if you are visiting Maui.

We had over 20 family members staying in 6 different KBM properties between the two buildings and everyone seemed to love their stay at the Honua Kai! This was a wonderful place to stay. The grounds are beautiful. The beach is nice. There is a restaurant and store on site. The location was good in West Maui. A short walk to a bunch of food trucks and a grocery store and other food options. I will say, unless an emergency, buy groceries elsewhere. While close at both the grocery store in the neighborhood and resort store, both are a lot more expensive than other places. We found Safeway a lot better option and you can sign up on the spot for shoppers program and save more money. Nowhere here is inexpensive for food but this was a lot better. The unit itself was nice. Three of us stayed and had plenty of room. Two large bathrooms. Excellent kitchen equipment. Hands down most well equipped of any condo we have rented before. We like to cook most of our own food and this was great. Another excellent thing about this unit was they leave you things you need so you don’t have additional expenses for things like trash bags, laundry and dishwasher soap, plenty of tp and tissues. They also have a large closet with beach equipment like chairs, umbrella, swim fins etc. This unit has a huge outdoor space with lots of furniture to use. It has a small view of the ocean but the rest of the view is pleasant. The unit is not new, but overall its nice. It’s clean and comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay. Another thing I was very happy with is the customer service of management. They do a great job. They are easy to contact and prompt with a response. I had questions before our stay and a small issue during our stay and they answered me promptly. Excellent customer service.

We had an amazing stay in Maui and we really enjoyed our unit at the Honua Kai HKK-234. The unit is spacious and has most everything you need. There is an amazing lanai and even a bit of an ocean view! We would definitely stay there again and would highly recommend the unit. The resort itself is amazing, my kids loved all the swimming pools and the waterslide. This is my third stay at this resort and I always love staying here.

Vacationing with a family of 4 adults and a baby, we handpicked the condo and the several choices available on KBM made a difference. Location was perfect, everything was clean and well furnished. Frequent and pro-active communication in case we had any additional needs. We just didn't make use of the free car rental offer because of the size of the car and cost to upgrade being more than the cost of booking on our own. Excellent experience overall which we will surely want to repeat!

Our family of four really enjoyed our stay at the Honua Kai resort. Our 2 bedroom condo is very spacious with huge wrap- around lanai. The resort has good amenities and we really appreciated that we were given access to all the amenities starting from the time we arrived, well before check in time. We spotted quite a few turtles in shallow water. Also enjoyed the dinner at Duke. Would come back again!

The condo is well equipped, large, clean and has a very large lanai, perfect for relaxing! Having a wall of windows was great during the Kona low storm allowing us to not be in the weather but not feel stuffed in a room. We had 3 adults and 2 kids, one kid slept on the couch and was comfortable. The unit has boogie boards, umbrellas, chairs and a cooler for the beach. The pools were great. A few restaurants and a grocery store across the road and food truck park next door. The boardwalk was great too. We had a great time, service at the resort was very friendly too.
