Best Area to Stay in Park City in a Vacation Condo

The best Park City area for a vacation condo depends on your trip: Canyons Village for a resort base with townhome space, Deer Valley for a quieter, ski-focused stay, and Old Town for walking to Main Street. KBM Resorts, a Park City property manager founded in 2008, rents 46 condos and townhomes direct across all three, with 24/7 onsite support and free 24-hour cancellation on direct bookings. Overview

What is the best area to stay in Park City in a vacation condo?
There is no single best area; the right one depends on how you like to vacation. KBM Resorts rents condos and townhomes in three Park City areas, listed here alphabetically rather than ranked: Canyons Village, Deer Valley and Old Town and Historic Downtown. Choose Canyons Village for the base of the mountain with its own village, lifts and dining, Deer Valley for a quieter, ski-focused stay, or Old Town for Park City's walkable Main Street. Each description on this page comes from KBM's own location and resort pages. For a longer read, see KBM's guide to where to stay in Park City.

Canyons Village

What is Canyons Village like for a condo stay?
KBM's Canyons page describes Canyons Village as the larger of Park City's two resort base areas, now connected with Park City Mountain, with its own village, lifts and dining at the base. KBM lists four communities here: Hidden Creek, Red Pine, Timber Wolf Lodge and Vintage on the Strand. Hidden Creek is a community of 130 townhomes at the base of Canyons Ski Resort, and Vintage on the Strand has 18 townhomes close to the Canyons Gondola. See KBM's full Canyons Village guide.

Deer Valley

What is Deer Valley like, and which Deer Valley condos does KBM list?
KBM's Deer Valley page describes it as one of Park City's three ski resorts, known for meticulously groomed runs and a limit on daily lift tickets. KBM lists seven Deer Valley communities plus The Mason. In Lower Deer Valley near Snow Park Lodge: Boulder Creek, Bristlecone and In The Trees. In the Silver Lake area: Black Bear Lodge and Ridgepoint. In Upper Deer Valley: The Lookout. KBM also lists The Mason, across from the Deer Crest Gondola on Jordanelle Reservoir. For more, see Deer Valley vacation rentals without Airbnb fees and the Deer Valley vacation rentals page.

Old Town

What is Old Town like for a condo stay?
KBM's Old Town page describes Old Town as Park City's historic Main Street district, a walkable strip of 19th-century mining-era buildings now filled with restaurants, galleries and shops, within walking distance of the Town Lift. KBM rents condos and townhomes in and near Old Town at Lift Lodge, Town Pointe and Chatham Crossing. Lift Lodge sits at the Town Lift Plaza on Main Street. See KBM's full Old Town guide.

Ski access

Which Park City area is best for ski-in/ski-out access?
No area is ranked, because ski access is set community by community. KBM's resort descriptions say Lift Lodge in Old Town has immediate access to Park City Mountain through the City Lift, Black Bear Lodge in Deer Valley is a short walk from the Silver Lake Lift, and Hidden Creek in Canyons Village is walking distance to the Canyons Cabriolet and the Frostwood Gondola. Ridgepoint has a ski-out trail toward the Snow Park Lodge area, but KBM notes it is not a true ski-in/ski-out property. Read KBM's Deer Valley ski-in/ski-out guide and the Park City ski-in/ski-out rentals page, and confirm access on the unit page before you book.

Getting around

Do I need a car in Park City?
Often not. KBM describes a free Park City bus stop near Hidden Creek at the Canyons, Boulder Creek, Bristlecone and In The Trees, and the free Canyons Connect Village Service gives on-demand rides within Canyons Village in winter. The Mason lists a free Deer Valley shuttle for all guests. In Old Town, Chatham Crossing is four blocks from the free city-wide shuttle bus, and Town Pointe has underground parking with elevator access for guests who bring a car.

Fit

Which Park City area fits a family or a larger group?
KBM's Park City listings are whole condos and townhomes with their own kitchens, in a range of sizes. KBM describes Black Bear Lodge as one- to four-bedroom condominiums, Boulder Creek as two-, three- and four-bedroom townhomes, Bristlecone as three- to five-bedroom condominiums and In The Trees as four-bedroom townhomes in Deer Valley, while Hidden Creek in Canyons Village is a community of 130 townhomes. In Old Town, Copperbottom Inn has one-bedroom condos. Open a community page and enter your group size to see the units available for your dates.
